Introducing Lorient
Lorient is an international leader in fire and smoke containment products for door assemblies. Many of our seals are also designed to provide acoustic, draught and weather protection. Our product designs consider accessibility too, so that our seals will help people of all ages and abilities to use buildings freely. Because our seals do all these things, you can have an integrated and cost-effective solution that's right for your building.
We have more than 30 years’ experience, supported by technical knowledge that is respected around the world. We always seek to develop new products using the very latest materials and processes, to provide the best possible performance.
We have our own product development centre which we use to design and test all the products we make. Our customers use the centre for their own development work too: our test furnace is particularly popular, as it gives a good indication of how products will perform in a full-scale fire test.
We are committed to gaining third party certification for our products wherever a suitable scheme exists. Many Lorient products hold CERTIFIRE certification, and we also hold approvals from both the British Board of Agrément and IFC.
We seek to improve our own corporate management too, and hold both BS EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 14001 certifications for our quality and environmental management. Achieving ISO 14001 is just one part of our ongoing commitment to operate in a sustainable way: many initiatives are planned and already underway to reduce materials, energy usage and waste.
As well as the Pacific office in Hong Kong, Lorient companies operate in the UK, Australia, North America and the Middle East – which means we're always up to date with the latest product developments and industry thinking from around the world. We can also provide support for clients with their projects, from start to finish, wherever they are in the world.
Lorient also has detailed knowledge of the regulatory requirements concerning acoustic, smoke and fire containment. To further share this expertise, Lorient offers CPD seminars, accredited by the Construction CPD Certification Service.
