BS EN ISO 140-3: 1995

“Measurement of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements. Part 3 – Laboratory measurement of airborne sound insulation of building elements”.

Formerly known as BS 2750 Pt 3, BS EN ISO 140-3 is the combined British, European and International Standard method of test for determining the acoustic performance of a door assembly, and can be used to quantify the effectiveness of a sealing system on any given door construction. There is no pass or fail to this test - results can be interpreted by using guidelines set out in BS EN ISO 717-1.
