BS EN 1634-1: 2000
“Fire resistance tests for door and shutter assemblies. Part 1 – Fire doors and shutters”.
This is the more recently introduced British and European-wide Standard for testing fire resistant doors. The Building Regulations for England & Wales now recognise both BS EN 1634-1: 2000 and BS 476 Pt 20/22 as valid methods of test for fire resistant doors.
These Standards do not state performance requirements - these are given in other documents such as Approved Document B to the Building Regulations (England & Wales), and BS 5588.
