Building Regulations (N Ireland) - Technical Booklet V
Technical Booklet V to the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) and Approved Document N to the Building Regulations (England and Wales) give guidance and requirements affecting safety in use for glass, particularly impact resistance. A distinction is drawn between glass which is fixed and that which moves (as in doors).
These Approved Documents are not mandatory, they are only guidance. However, they are considered to be the usual means of proving compliance with the Building Regulations.
